Repubs Need Harris To Save Their Party
First a few quotes:

Cruz had his father AND his wife attacked by Trump, yet is now his lap dog. Mark Meadows, Trump’s White House Chief of Staff proclaimed that Trump “expressed support [for the idea]” when, on January 6, Trump’s frothing band of lunatics began chanting “Hang Mike Pence” yet Pence isn’t adamant about he dangers of Trump, and Vance’s tune changed when he saw a chance to accrue some power.
So what does this mean?
I believe that there are many, many prominent Republicans who know damned well that Trump is a dangerous narcissist with no earthly idea of how to be president and a tenuous grasp on reality.
But, they are too chicken shit to SAY it too often or too loudly because the Republican brand is now too tied to Trump’s future for them to split with him and expect to maintain their cushy positions.
In other words they KNOW that Trump is terrible for the country, but they are putting their needs and desires ahead of what is good for the country.
They do have hope though. When the curtain closes and they cast their ballots, they can vote Harris and nobody will be the wiser. If Harris wins, they are off the hook with the Trumpers because they won’t look like they are to blame.
In other words, ironically, Harris can save the Republican party by winning the election. Once Trump is gone, they will be free to bring back a more moderate view of Republican ideology without having to risk their precious necks or their precious jobs.
They are willing to risk the future of America though.
In that paradoxical manner, the future of the Republican party hinges on a Harris win.
