Imagine you are a teacher.

Now imagine that one of your students turns in an essay 6 weeks late.

Now imagine that when you check your email you have an email from that student requesting that you drop everything and grade his /her essay today because it is “the last day of the quarter”.

Now imagine that you responded and told the student that was an obnoxious request and while you know the student didn’t mean to be offensive, he or she was and for their own good they should never do that again.

Now imagine that you get to sit around wondering if you are going to catch flak for telling it like it is to the student.
