A Decade From Now
A decade from now
I will be retired
I will sit on my ass
Outside by a fire
I will drink me a brew
And listen to Stern
And silently stew
About the money I’ve burned
My oldest child
Will be twenty five
But what’s really wild
I will have one too young to drive
My middle son
I believe , yes I dare
Will give college a run
An at least comb his hair
My dearest wife
And the momma of three
Will cherish her life
With a great catch like me
I am no poet
I write them in strife
But I hope that that they know it
Those I love more than life
So in ten years
And this ain’t just talk
I will love without fears
As I run out the clock!
